Ritchey Construction, Fred Ritchey: Custom Builder, General Contractor and Remodeler

2615 E. MAIN ST.

BEXLEY, OH  43209

As with most professions, the key to success in the building industry is knowing firsthand what is involved in every level of the business.  Fred Ritchey has this knowledge.  At the age of 18, he started in the industry honing his skills as a trim carpenter as a means of financing his college education.  He discovered a natural talent, understanding, and great interest in this line of work.  He realized he was destined for a career in the building industry.

Having established a reputation for superior craftsmanship, conscientiousness and good instincts, Fred found many doors opened for him.  In particular, he was President of Gioffre Ritchey Construction, a well respected construction company, where he presided over the additions and renovations division for eight years.  When this company decided to concentrate its efforts in the commercial market, he knew it was time to establish a full service construction company of his own.

He has built Ritchey Construction’s fine reputation on using high-quality materials and craftsmen, listening to his clients’ needs, and executing these needs with the least amount of inconvenience to the customer as possible. The company’s philosophy is a job isn’t finished until the clients are happy with the end result.  For this reason, Fred pays very close attention to input from all those involved and enjoys working with architects and decorators and knows how important this relationship is in meeting the clients’ needs.

Whether doing a small remodeling job, building an office or a new home for the client, Fred believes in treating all his customers the same – they get the best quality no matter the size of the job.  We work with clients who know quality, want quality, and expect to be treated well.

They are also respected because they complete a job on time.  One of the biggest challenges for the remodelers is the unknown.  When you start tearing out someone else’s work, you never know what you will find.  While this adds time and work to the job, the crews are prepared to deal with these problems.  In this way, remodeling is more challenging than new construction.

Fred’s expertise in carpentry has resulted in trim work on remodeling jobs that is so well executed, it becomes part of the original work – to the point one can not tell what is new and what is original trim.  This is done by working directly with the millwork company to custom match every moulding to pieces already in the home.  Pieces of flooring have been hand-stained to match as closely as possible to existing floorboards.

No detail is too small or unimportant to miss the attention of Fred and the people who work for Ritchey Construction.  This is only one aspect of the company that hints at the quality of work they perform.  The goal of the company is to complete a remodeling project so well it appears to be part of the original structure.

Ritchey Construction has been very successful in all facets of the building industry – from remodels and additions to new construction.  Fred brings professionalism, attention to detail, and top quality workmanship no matter how large or small the project.  If the owner wants contemporary, traditional or any other style, they can count on Ritchey Construction to carry out the design with master craftsmanship and excellent results.

The diversification and experience of this organization has proven Ritchey Construction can undertake, remodeling and new home construction with ease as well as commercial construction.  With projects all over Central Ohio and a reputation as one of the finest remodelers in the area, Ritchey Construction has been a successful construction company servicing Central Ohio for over 30 years.
